All of us have to go through the sate in our life when we experience many physical and hormonal changes. This stage is called puberty and none of us can avoid it. Puberty is followed by another crucial stage called adolescence. Those two stages are marked by many physical changes. One of those changes young people hate is acne.
First of all it is not true that only teenagers suffer from acne. Acne can affect people of any age and gender. There is no age limit for acne, so you can suffer from it even as an adult. However, teenagers are more prone to acne as they are going through some great hormonal changes.
What are therefore the causes of acne?
Acne is caused by bacteria, there is no question about that. It occurs when our pores get blocked with too much sebum produced in our skin glands.
As we all know, teenagers do not really pay attention to their hygiene and the care of their facial skin is also neglected. Because of this, acne outbreaks are more probable and happen much faster. Teens experience many hormonal changes and one of these changes involves extra sebum production. This might cause problems, especially when the skin is not takes care of properly and acne is what usually happens.
Acne is a common skin problem all around the world. Luckily, there are remedies that help us fight acne. These remedies include herbal solutions as well as chemical solutions. Acne, with proper treatments, can be cured, so one should not worry too much. Also, seeking the help on a dermatologist is something one who suffers form acne should consider.
Teenagers should also ask their parents for help, as they can provide them with some valuable advice.
Possibilities of getting acne are higher if one of the parents suffered from acne before.
No matter what the cause, make sure that you take a good care of your skin. Remember to wash and clean it properly, give it the right amount of treatment and if problems come do not let them to get worse.
